Did federal authorities orchestrate a cover-up in Charlie Kirk's assassination timeline?

CLAIM — Federal authorities (FEDS) were caught in a cover-up of the official timeline of Charlie Kirk's assassination, implying they planned the assassination itself.[1][2]

VERDICT — FALSE.[3]

EVIDENCE — Charlie Kirk was assassinated on September 10, 2025, at Utah Valley University by a sniper shot to the neck; suspect Tyler James Robinson, 22, was arrested September 12, 2025, with evidence including DNA on the rifle and screwdriver at the scene, a pre-shooting note stating he would "take" the opportunity to kill Kirk, text confessions to his partner, and Discord messages. An ATF ballistic analysis of the autopsy bullet fragment was inconclusive (common due to fragmentation on Kirk's spine), not exculpatory or proof of mismatch/cover-up; FBI is conducting further tests. No credible evidence of federal involvement in planning or cover-up; claims stem from conspiracy circles misrepresenting the inconclusive ballistics. FBI assisted state investigation normally.[1][2][4][3][5][6]

SOURCE CHECK — @ProjectConstitu (Project Constitution) is a fringe X account (274k followers) promoting conspiracy theories about Kirk's death (e.g., infrared laser from van, Erika Kirk involvement, exploding mic), facing cease-and-desist from TPUSA for defamation. No mainstream credibility; known for unsubstantiated claims.[7][8][9]

CREDIBILITY — 1.

BIAS — FAR RIGHT.[8]
