Is the light of consciousness truly heading to the stars, or did it start there all along?

ANSWER
Elon Musk did state, "extend the light of consciousness to the stars," originally in a March 20, 2021, X (Twitter) post and reiterated it on February 2, 2026, announcing SpaceX's acquisition of xAI.[1][2] The rebuttal ("that’s where the light came from from to begin with") is an unverified interpretive opinion playing on "light" literally (starlight photons) versus Musk's metaphor for preserving/expanding human consciousness—there is no evidence Musk addressed or endorsed this counterpoint.
